The different locations of the University of Innsbruck are spread all over the city. Nevertheless: the distances are short - in Innsbruck almost everything can be reached in 20 minutes on foot or in 10 minutes by bike. Even to the surrounding alpine huts, lakes or ski resorts it is usually only a stone's throw.

Students at the University of Innsbruck have all possibilities: More than 170 different study options and further training programmes from a wide range of subject areas such as technology, theology, humanities, natural sciences, law, social sciences and economics are available.

Expand competencies and complement knowledge

Through complementary Subject Areas or the Supplementary Programme Computer Science, students at the University of Innsbruck have the opportunity to deepen the skills acquired during their studies. The newly founded Digital Science Center (DiSC), for example, promotes this by offering students of numerous disciplines, digital skills and thus sets a focus on an important future topic.


 

Regional roots, global network

With a share of around 40 percent international students, studying and researching in a global environment is guaranteed. Almost 500 cooperation agreements with individual institutes or universities in 50 countries enable students at the University of Innsbruck to expand their knowledge abroad and to strengthen their language and social skills.
